Tour the delights of Central Otago

Is it any wonder that Jude is still in love with the land where she grew up? These images are from her last foray around the province during this summer, February 2025.
Much of the region is well known for its bounty of stone fruit, grapes, honey, xxxx and grapes. Central Otago is the southernmost wine region in the world, and is particularly famous for its Pinot Noir which loves hot dry summers, and crisp setting winters.
Central Otago is known for its thriving wine industry, particularly for Pinot Noir, as well as its tourism, agriculture - particularly sheep, stone fruit, and deer farming - and a history rooted in gold mining.
Although highly technical apparatus is used these days, many small holdings' produce are totally organic and hand developed.
Around the province, reminders of 'the olden days' are still evident, such as this heritage cottage near Roxburgh.
